Bill Schember
Hello, my name is Bill, I have lived in Olde Historic Downtown Wilmington, North Carolina for about the last ten years and I would like to welcome you to my website.
E-mail me if you have questions/comments, whether travel related or general questions, I welcome them all.

  • I spend my time enjoying many of the wonderful cultural attractions located here in Wilmington. We have great theatre, museums, art galleries, very beautiful beaches and the infamous Cape Fear River is only a stones throw away.
    .
  • I make my living working in the Travel and Tourism industry which I have always found very interesting. Click on the TravelCorp Intl link to the left of this page for further travel information and useful travel related links.
    .
  • Listed below are some of my favorite sites on the Net, I change them quite often.  At the moment I'm finding the US Domestic and International Mapping links both useful and interesting.  MapQuest is great to find directions for and explore towns and cities worldwide.  You can find almost any place with online National Geographic atlases, order maps, get information about countries and states, print maps and play geography games.  The CNN Interactive link delivers the latest breaking news and information on the latest top stories, weather, business, entertainment, politics and more.
    .
  • Time.com's annual survey of the Web's most useful and interesting sites spotlights both great newcomers and veterans with new tricks. The '50 Coolest Websites 2012,' is out - I will highlight three sites with links at the very bottom of this page and rotate them out over time to include as many as possible.
    .
  • The first two are from the News and Information section - 'Blinkx TV,' categorized as TV News allows you to search for TV news clips and other video bits from more than two dozen sources, including ABC News, BBC News, Fox News, ESPN and C-Span. There's plenty of lighter fare, too - a search for Al Pacino pulled up a documentary clip from Biography.com and assorted movie reviews and trailers. Blinkx has its own way of indexing clips that makes it more effective than other video search engines for finding particular segments within a broadcast, and each video stream starts off at the point in the segment that's most relevant to your query.
    .
  • The second link, categorized as General Reference is, 'Answers.com.' When you want basic information about someone or something, try plugging your query into Answers.com's general search field or browse the ever-expanding Directory of reference material. The information you pull up will include dictionary definitions and encyclopedia articles culled from resources licensed from a variety of publishers.
    .
  • The third link is from the Arts and Entertainment section and categorized - Galleries - 'The Museum of Online Museums.' This elegantly-designed portal links to established museum and gallery sites such as those run by the Museum of Modern Art, The Bauhaus Archive and The Art Institute of Chicago.
    .
  • If you are interested in obtaining the complete list of the TIME Magazine/TIME.com, '50 Coolest Websites 2012,' - just let me know and I will e-mail the entire list to you.
